Abstract
The current research discusses health aspects and the practice of traditional medicine in Najdi society during the 14th century H "Qassim as a Model". This was a period before the emergence of modern medicine in the Qassim province and the beginnings of health development. The health aspect of the Qassim province depended on "Traditional Medicine", a part of a popular culture characterized by its connection to health and illness, as people seek healing from illnesses through nature and the surrounding environment.
The research sought to reveal the importance of such sciences in the field of historical studies, particularly in studying cultural aspects related to the history of science. Specifically, the health aspect and its importance as a historical resource for researchers studying the health history of the Najd province during this period.
Several prominent aspects upon which traditional medicine relies were identified, such as the medicines used in this field, including herbs, which are the primary ingredient in drug production; the tools used in traditional medicine and how they were used to treat patients; and the diseases and epidemics prevalent during that period.
The descriptive-analytical approach has been adopted to explain the methods and tools used in the practice of "Traditional Medicine" during that period. The research included pictures, figures and illustrations of several tools used, as well as manuscripts from which medical information was derived.
