This research focuses on the history of the Maliki Maqam in the Sacred Mosque in Makkah, through a systematic study documenting the biographies of the Andalusian and Moroccan imams who led it from its inception until its removal. It highlights the scholarly and jurisprudential roles of these imams and their impact on the Hejaz and the broader Islamic world, reflecting the presence of the Maliki school of thought, which was widespread in the Maghreb and Andalusia. The study is structured into an introduction and three main sections: The introduction addresses the origin, locations, and functions of the maqaams in the Sacred Mosque. The first section examines the Maliki Maqam’s location, its description, the prayer system, and the process of appointing its imams. The second section explores the spread of the Maliki school and the biographies of its imams. The third section highlights their scholarly contributions in the Sacred Mosque and their role in Makkah's religious and intellectual life.
