Anyone who reads the details of the journey undertaken by the orientalist Julius Euting to the northern part of the Arabian Peninsula-lasting approximately eight months-will recognize its significance. The journey was carried out with clearly defined objectives, under specific conditions, and aimed at producing deliberate outcomes, most notably the reproduction of inscriptions and epigraphic monuments that are abundant in the northern Arabian Peninsula.

This endeavor deeply influenced Euting’s thinking and scholarly approach, marking a significant turning point in his life thereafter.
